Marilyn and Billy have been married for 40 years, and have purposely, managed to survive in the entertainment world. Their wonderful friendship has contributed to keeping their relationship strong. They are always together and were together as a couple for eleven years before accepting Jesus Christ into their lives. They said in an interview that it took much prayer, during the challenges of being together all the time. They also shared that they had to learn how to argue and understand the importance of getting to the root of a problem and the depth of what it takes to understand each other.

In their desire to resolve conflicts in a healthy manner, they had to learn the best time to talk about things; the best time to talk about something they had an argument or a disagreement about. And then, would make a point to really.... understand what the other was expressing. Being male and female they understand that they each see things differently, and that it's vital.... that they talk.... to each other, trust each other and be able to honestly say what’s on their hearts.

Because they strive to do the right things in their marriage, it is their practice to pray together; to start their day with prayer, with the best intentions in mind. Billy and Marilyn both expressed that they’ve had different life experiences with broken trust, which has enabled them to understand that, that’s where forgiveness is very important and comes in. Marilyn shared, that she carried a grudge for something that Billy did and came to the realization, that she had to forgive him; she had to truly forgive him from her heart and not continue to bring it up. She said, that "since God forgives us, couples must apply that same attitude of forgiveness to each other as well." Marilyn also said, that Billy reminds her that people who disappoint, are people first, and that they must learn to forgive them.

Their 40 years of marriage is proof positive of the hard work and principles that Billy and Marilyn practice, and their life experiences gives them a legitimate voice in giving advice and encouragement to other couples who need help in their marriages.

Billy and Marilyn continue to travel around the world performing their beautiful music. The couple also conduct marriage seminars, in which, they take the opportunity to share their faith, which is very important to them. As entertainers, they still do their secular show, so if you can catch their show somewhere in the world, rest assure, you won’t be disappointed and my find yourself being taken up up and away in a beautiful balloon…..
